Skate Tracker is a personal skating competition and expense tracker. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how the app handles your data.
We do not collect any personal data. Skate Tracker does not collect, transmit, or share any information with us or any third parties.
All data you enter is stored locally on your device only, using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your device. This includes:
Files (photos, attached PDFs and images) are stored as separate files in the app's Library/Application Support directory via SwiftData's external storage. iOS encrypts these files at rest when the device is locked.
When iCloud Backup is enabled in iOS Settings, your Skate Tracker data is included automatically - the same way it is for Notes, Reminders and other Apple apps. The backup is encrypted and stored in your iCloud account, controlled by Apple. Skate Tracker itself never transmits your data anywhere.
You can opt the app out of iCloud Backup at the OS level: iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup → Apps Using iCloud → Show All → Skate Tracker.
Some data introduced in v2.1 - government IDs, medical certificates, passport numbers, federation cards - is unusually sensitive. Skate Tracker treats it the same way as any other data: stored on this device, never transmitted. In addition:
Skate Tracker does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no third-party SDKs in the app.
Skate Tracker works offline for everything you enter and view about your events, results, expenses, profile and documents. The only places the app touches the internet are Apple's own map services:
None of these requests pass through any server controlled by the developer. They go directly between your device and Apple's services, governed by Apple's privacy practices.
From the app's Settings → Data & Privacy → Import & Export, you can export your competitions and expenses as CSV files and import them back. This is your manual escape hatch - your data, in a portable format. The CSV is generated on your device and shared via iOS's standard share sheet; you choose where it goes.
Skate Tracker does not collect any data from anyone, including children. The app is safe for users of all ages.
If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
